Aaron Slater is the founder and CEO of Relentless Defender and President of the Relentless Defender Foundation. A veteran law enforcement professional, Aaron’s career included assignments in patrol, field training, SWAT, criminal investigations, and undercover narcotics, as well as service in mid-level and command-level supervisory positions.

During his career with the Rosenberg Police Department, Aaron helped develop an innovative social media presence that gained national recognition and was featured by outlets including People, Good Morning America, Fox News, and Police1. He later traveled throughout the United States training law enforcement agencies in community-oriented policing, social media, leadership, and organizational management.

Aaron earned a master’s degree in Criminal Justice Management from Sam Houston State University and is a graduate of the Leadership Command College. In 2014, he founded Relentless Defender, building it into a nationally recognized brand dedicated to supporting the law enforcement community. Through the Relentless Defender Foundation, he continues that mission by assisting injured and fallen first responders and the families who stand behind them.

Aaron also serves in national law enforcement leadership through the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

Nick Daugherty began his law enforcement career with the Grand Prairie Police Department in 2003, where he served as a patrol officer, school resource officer, and member of the underage alcohol and drug task force. Promoted to sergeant in 2012, he led patrol and field training operations and later oversaw the department’s Criminal Intelligence Unit. Following his semi-retirement in 2017, Nick continued serving as a reserve officer until his full retirement in 2023.

Inspired by his own financial challenges early in life, Nick developed a passion for financial education and wellness within the first responder community. In 2011, he created and launched “Building Financial Strength in First Responder Families,” a financial wellness program that has since been delivered to tens of thousands of personnel from more than 4,000 agencies, academies, and conferences nationwide.

Today, Nick is the founder and owner of FinancialCop, one of the nation’s leading financial wellness and fiduciary financial planning and investment firms for first responders. He holds health and life insurance licenses and has completed advanced coursework through Ken Zahn’s Certified Financial Planner™ professional education program.

Dedicated to empowering first responders and their families, Nick’s mission is to help them achieve financial freedom and retire on their own terms—not just chase a pension.

Jason Borne is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served as an infantry rifleman and gained valuable leadership experience during combat operations. After completing his military service, he continued his commitment to public safety by joining the Austin Police Department in 2007. Throughout his law enforcement career, Jason has earned several awards and commendations in recognition of his service.

In addition to his military and law enforcement experience, Jason is a business owner and remains actively employed as a full-time law enforcement officer in Texas.

Jason is an original member of the Relentless Defender Foundation’s Board of Directors and currently serves as its Treasurer. Drawing on his experience in military service, law enforcement, and business, he helps provide responsible financial oversight and organizational leadership in support of the foundation’s mission and the first responder community.

Robert Gracia is a retired Police Chief and former City Manager for Rosenberg, Texas, with a distinguished career in public service. Now a Realtor with eXp Realty, LLC, he continues serving the community through real estate.

Gracia has held leadership roles with the Texas Medical Board, Fort Bend Sheriff’s Office Civil Service Commission, and several local boards. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from LeTourneau University and is a graduate of the 152nd Session of the FBI National Academy.

Raymond Garivay Jr. is the Chief of Police for Kemah, Texas, bringing more than 34 years of comprehensive law enforcement experience to the role. His career began as a patrol officer, where he quickly developed a strong commitment to public service and community engagement. Over the years, Raymond has held various positions that have equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities of policing and community dynamics.

As Chief, Raymond is passionate about community policing, believing that strong relationships between law enforcement and the community are essential for safety and trust. He has implemented innovative programs that encourage collaboration with residents, schools, and local organizations, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility for community well-being. His approachable leadership style has made him a trusted figure among citizens, who appreciate his commitment to transparency and proactive communication.

Raymond is particularly focused on addressing local issues such as crime prevention, youth outreach, and mental health awareness. He actively promotes training for officers in de-escalation techniques and cultural competency, ensuring that the Kemah Police Department is equipped to serve a diverse community with respect and understanding.

Beyond his professional duties, Raymond is a dedicated family man and man of faith who enjoys spending time with his loved ones. He believes in the importance of giving back to the community and participates in various charitable initiatives and local events.

As he continues to lead the Kemah Police Department, Raymond Garivay Jr. remains steadfast in his mission to create a safe, inclusive, and thriving community for all residents.
